---- ANNA SUMRALL ----

Name: Anna Sumrall

Birthday: 12/30/65

Years running at the time of profile: Lessee, since 6th grade..

Occupation: Aspiring Science Teacher and Coach.

How many miles a week do you run? 20 or so when not injured or marathon training.

How did you come to join Bayou City?: Tom Helm & I began dating 4 years ago and he enticed me with yummy beer at Valhalla.

My proudest running accomplishment is: Probably my glorious 10 mile run finish at Texas Hill Country Triathlon. I was petrified before the swim and was advised to "take it easy on ther bike and save it fro the run". I did, and coupled with "crowd enhanced performance", it was exhilrating!

My favorite training run is: Ho Chi Minh Trails.

My favorite race is: Rodeo Run - starts at 10 am, and see "crowd enhanced performance" .

My best distance is: Anything cross country.

I run because: I can. Have you seen me throw?

My philosophy for life is: One's true net worth can be seen in the eyes of your friends.

My next goal is: To race again, since I'm recovering from a broken leg...

Favorite training food: Noodles & Skittles.

When I'm running I think about: It's my chance to dream big--and I actually believe the dreams when I'm running. Otherwise, I play number and word games.

The best running advice I could give would be: Of course you can run. Start out slow and short and then go faster.

People would be surprised if they knew I: Have more costumes than some people have clothes.

The top thing on my dream list is: See the other sides of the equator and Prime Meridian. I'd also like to write a children's book.

If I could have been anything, besides my current occupation it would be: A singer in a rock n' roll band or work at the zoo.

Other hobbies besides running: Keeping up with old friends, reading.

I would love to spend the day with: My Dad

The most embarrasing thing that has happened to me is: All of Junior High. Bimbo demeanor less convincing with glasses and braces.

The most profound thing that has happened in my life is: So far it's been breaking my leg and watching my friends and family come to my aid. (3 months without a paycheck!) BUT ask me in January after I am my best friend's delivery room coach!!
